A Message from Donna Bourne... .
For as long as I can remember, I will often pause to
reflect on the images in front of me.
My paintings are about finding beauty, often in solitude, that offer a
sense of tranquility.
Painting, in its essence, is a journey full of discovery. In order to paint onto a canvas what I see and portray how it feels is both exhilarating and satisfying. The focus that this requires is ultimately freeing for me. I surrender to the painting and follow its direction. For me, this is a blessed experience.
